Benzi Blatman
Co-President

Benzi is a senior at UC Berkeley pursuing a degree in Urban Studies. He has previous experience with the American Institute of Architects in San Francisco and currently works at MT Development, a high-end residential real estate firm. Benzi is interested in big cities, urban design, and vibrant communities and hopes to continue a career in real estate development upon graduating.

Tad Tobar
Co-President

Tad is a current undergraduate at the Haas School of Business, interested in entrepreneurship and how society can leverage technology and capital markets to solve complex problems. In his spare time, he loves to learn about new technology, study finance, and collaborate with others on new projects.

Jackie Teer
Treasurer

Jackie is a senior pursuing her degree in Economics and a minor in Chinese language. Over the summer she interned with UBS’ asset management and acquisition teams. In the future, Jackie is interested in breaking into real estate development and looking into pursuing sustainability within the industry. In addition to being involved in UREC, she also likes to spend her time learning languages, dancing, and promoting a zero-waste lifestyle.

Sabrina Tan
Internal VP

Sabrina Tan is a sophomore intending to major in business administration and music. She is now interning at a securities firm in China. In the long run, she is very interested in real estate brokerage and development. She also had previous experience in consulting and start-up. In her spare time, she enjoys music, foreign languages, and extreme sports.

Praveen Kuruppu
External VP

Praveen is a senior at UC Berkeley pursuing a degree in Economics with a minor in History. He has been interested in real estate ever since his first internship in the field during his sophomore year. Upon graduation, Praveen hopes to pursue a career in real estate. In addition to UREC, he is also involved with Beta Alpha Psi, a professional business fraternity, and the DailyCal newspaper as a sports beat writer.

Isaiah Madison
VP of Architecture and Development

Isaiah is a senior studying Urban Studies. In Los Angeles, Isaiah served on the neighborhood council for Greater Baldwin Hills. There he chaired the outreach committee and was a member of the land use and planning committee. Last semester, he currently interned for the County of Marin Community Development Department. Last Summer, he interned for the Surplus Real Estate Group at Pacific Gas & Electric Company. After graduating, he hopes to pursue a career developing urban infill in central Los Angeles. Isaiah enjoys local politics, traveling the United States, and personal fitness.

Michael Bissada
VP of Brokerage

I am currently a student at the University of California, Berkeley, and my focus is in Business Administration. I intend to create a commercial real estate company that will focus on real estate development and acquisitions. I like both office and industrial product types, while my favorite is multifamily. In October of 2016 I obtained my California Real Estate Salesperson License - Lic. #02019309.

Jordan Rosenbloom
VP of Finance

Jordan is a senior at UC Berkeley studying Business Administration. His interest in real estate began during his senior year of high school, where he started taking courses to obtain his real estate license. The summer following his freshman year he interned at Berkshire Hathaway in Studio City, CA, obtaining his license before returning to school. Last summer he interned at Lazard Investment Banking division and plans on pursuing a career in investment banking or real estate private equity after graduation. On his free time Jordan enjoys playing basketball, snowboarding, and going to concerts.

Sasha Moridi
VP of Real Estate Technology

Sasha Moridi is an individual with an overwhelming passion for real estate and technology who has a background in finance. Sasha is currently working in investment banking, specifically in mergers and acquisitions. Prior to his time in investment banking, Sasha was an investment analyst at the venture capital firm Golden Gate Ventures and a summer analyst working in asset management at Concert Capital Management. Sasha has also raised seed money for his own cryptocurrency fund and has co-invested in real estate in The Bay Area. Sasha is majoring in economics and plans to graduate in 2019.
